Sunday lunch should feel generous, unhurried, and worth gathering for.
At Bramleys, we treat it as a weekly celebration of good ingredients, careful cooking and time well spent around the table. Our Sunday lunch menu brings together classic British comforts and lighter, seasonal flavours, all served in relaxed surroundings right here in Beeston. Linger a little longer afterwards with a quiet stroll through our beautiful green campus, and ease yourself into the week ahead.
Whether you’re joining us for a long catch-up or a quiet end to the weekend, this is Sunday lunch done properly.
At the heart of it all is our Head Chef, David, whose approach to Sunday lunch is simple: cook with care, respect the ingredients, and make food people genuinely look forward to eating. You’ll often find his influence in the little details on the plate: the touches that turn a familiar dish into something memorable.
Our menus change with the seasons, guided by what’s tasting best right now. Expect British produce at its peak, treated with care and restraint so the ingredients do the talking.
From Derbyshire roast beef and lamb rump to pan-fried Cornish hake with mussels and samphire, our dishes are rooted in familiar flavours and lifted with modern touches. For plant-based and vegetarian diners, we put just as much thought into plates like our spring vegetable risotto or roast butternut squash and parsnip Wellington.
Every dish is cooked to order, generous without being heavy, and designed to be enjoyed at a slower Sunday pace.
Start with seasonal starters that set the tone. Think venison carpaccio with dark cherry and pickled shallots, miso-glazed artichokes with whipped lemon ricotta, or citrus salmon crudo for something light and fresh.
For the main event, our roasted meats and mains are served with all the Sunday essentials: crisp roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, tender vegetables and bubble & squeak. It’s everything you want from a Sunday lunch, without feeling stuck in the past.
Finish with dessert, where we put a Bramleys twist on well-loved classics. From rhubarb custard tart and indulgent Black Forest chocolate to our famous Bramley Apple dessert, it’s the kind of ending that makes you glad you saved room.
We believe great Sunday lunches should be shared. Children under 10 enjoy a complimentary meal when dining with an adult (T&C’s can be found below*), making Bramleys the perfect spot for relaxed family lunches without any fuss. Thoughtful food for grown-ups, comforting favourites for little ones, and plenty of time to enjoy it together.
Good food, a relaxed atmosphere and no rush to finish - that’s what Sundays at Bramleys are all about. Join us for lunch that feels comforting, considered and genuinely special.
Sunday lunch is served every week from 12:30pm-4pm.
